Church gets a Mary Poppins touch

FAMOUS Marys from history were celebrated in aid of St Mary's Church, Luddenden.

As well as Mary Poppins, above, there were dedications to Mary Queen of Scots, Mary Berry and Mary O'Brien – better known as Dusty Springfield. Organiser Sue Law said: "We had a lovely weekend and there were some gorgeous displays."

There was also an evening concert by Elland Male Voice Choir and a special Sunday service.
