Cinema showing for the £25 movie: Rob, 15, made horror comedy - watch the trailer

A TEENAGE film-maker is hoping it will be a full house for the premiere of his latest film.

Rob Frost, 16, of Sowerby Bridge, began making films at the age of nine, and has already finished more than 30.

The budding director is a film and media student at North Halifax Grammar School.

His cast of six shot Corpses and Other Teenage Problems at locations across Halifax including Manor Heath and even in the aisles at Tesco, Sowerby Bridge.

Rob began writing the film, which he said is a teen horror comedy, in July. They completed filming within a week.

The plot sees two boys, Matt McGoldrick and Nathan Buckley, both 16, fight over 17-year-old Francesca Hardman-Saiao. They accidentally kill another character, and spend the rest of the 35– minute film covering up the murder.

It cost just 25 to make the film – all the money was spent on fake blood.

Francesca, a member of Halifax Light Opera Society, said: "It was a completely different experience to being on stage because we had more time to get the right shot, but it was really hard work."

Rob hopes to turn his hobby into a career and go to film school when he finishes his A-levels.

He has hired the Hebden Bridge Picture House for the first screening. He hopes people – whatever their age – will go along to support his project.

The film will be shown on March 6 at 4.30pm.
