Festival flowers hit right note
Flower arrangers were inspired by the sound of music at a village festival.
More than 85 displays were created for the 10th annual flower show at St Michael's Parish Church, Mytholmroyd.
The displays were made by villagers and ranged from electric guitars sculpted out of posies to a floral tribute to Swan Lake.
Beryl Chatburn, a member of the St Michael's flower committee, said: "We have been planning this for two years now and it is one of the best we have ever done.
"We've got a really wide range of arrangements and so many different types of music are represented. It looks lovely."
Margaret Wilcock, of Mytholmroyd, said: "I don't know how they do it but it just looks beautiful and so colourful."
Church organists also provided musical accompaniment to visitors.
