Half-term fun for Calderdale kids
MOUNTAIN biking and water sports are among a raft of activities on offer for Calderdale youngsters during the half-term holiday.
Adventure activity days for eight to 14-year-olds are being held today and Friday at North Bridge Leisure Centre, Halifax.
Youngsters can enjoy a variety of sports, games, team challenges and even a roller disco.
Swimming sessions will also be available for those taking part in the XS 2010 programme.
Mixenden Activity Centre at Mixenden, Halifax, is hosting mountain biking, raft building, climbing and water sports tomorrow – dependant on weather.
Youngsters must be confident in water to attend and sessions, which run from 9am to 4pm, must be pre-booked.
Youngsters aged between five and seven can enjoy sportmix and construction sessions, hand ball games and relay races.
The event runs from 1pm to 4pm until Friday. For further information, 01422 341527, or call in at the centre.
