Historic photos go on display in Todmorden
An exhibition of historic photographs can be seen at the Fielden Centre, Todmorden, this weekend.
Many are original photographs by such distinguished local photographers as Enoch Horsfall, Herbert Hardaker and Thomas Greenlees.
Originally on display at Todmorden Tourist Information Centre in Todmorden's centenary year of 1996, this is their second showing at the Fielden Centre.
They are from the collection of Eric W. Cockcroft, of the Royal Flying Corps in World War One, later chairman of the Todmorden War Memorial Committee, and have been lent by his daughter, Christine Copping.
The display runs from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free, although donations will be welcome. Light refreshments will be available.
