Long Wall street work now done
WORK to improve pedestrian access at Long Wall, Elland, has been completed ahead of schedule.
A new footpath is in place, street lighting replaced, road markings improved and overhanging trees cut back.
Calderdale Council is now upgrading the remaining street lighting over the next two weeks.
The lane closures will continue on Long Wall and Saddleworth Road until tomorrow.
From Monday Long Wall will be reopened to two way traffic but during the day traffic will be controlled by temporary traffic signals.
