Lorry blocks narrow road for more than three hours
A LORRY that was wedged on a narrow Calderdale lane for more than three hours has been moved.
The white Volvo articulated HGV got stuck at the top of Hollins Mill Lane at the junction of Hollins Lane, Sowerby Bridge at 7.15am.
Police were alerted to the problem and with the help of Stoneywood Motors were able to move the vehicle.
The driver was unable to drive up or reverse back down the steep road after being led up the wrong passage by a local passer by.
Drivers were advised to find an alternative route while the area was cleared. The road has now been reopened.
