Luxury night for ladies helps stillbirth charity
WOMEN enjoyed pampering, shopping and Champagne to help raise money for charity.
A ladies' night at the Charisma beauty salon, Leeds Road, Hipperholme, raised money for Sands, the Stillbirth and Neonatal death society.
Salon owner Kizzy Edkins said: "I'd never really heard about the charity or realised how many families suffer from stillborn or neo-natal deaths.
"The Why 17? campaign highlights that 17 babies a day die either stillborn or days after birth with no reason or explanation, so raising awareness and research is essential."
She was helped by Claire Mcavan, who had a stillborn child 18 years ago.
Local businesses gave spray tans and beauty products, as well as the Champagne that was served on the night.
