M62 slip roads and lanes to close at night for June maintenance work
MAINTENANCE work will force the closure of parts of the M62 next month.
The Highways Agency will work during the night between J22 at Windy Hill and J25 Chain Bar replacing road studs and renewing markings.
Work starts on June 1 between 8 pm and 6 am and last a month.
A Highways Agency spokeswoman said: "This work is part of our ongoing maintenance programme and will take place at night to minimise disruption. Some slip roads will be closed overnight during the work – but only one at a time."
The slip roads include the westbound exit at Junction 22 and the westbound entry at Junction 23 at Outlane, the eastbound entry at Junction 24 at Ainley Top, along with the exit and entry sliproads eastbound at Junction 25 at Clifton, Brighouse, and the eastbound exit at Junction 26.
Lanes on the M62 itself will also have to be closed during parts of the work, including the eastbound stretch between junctions 24 and 26 and the westbound part between junctions 23 and 22.
