Nick's song for Haiti
A former Halifax composer has released a single in aid of victims of the Haiti earthquake.
Nick Morgan, who now lives in Ripon, composed the song Out of the Depths – Prayer for Haiti and released it online in January.
His daughter, Susie, seven, sings on the track.
"The response has been amazing. People from the Netherlands, the US, Mexico, Romania and Australia have joined theFacebook group we set up to promote the single, and the downloads are selling steadily."
The song is sung in Latin to piano accompaniment.
The single can be downloaded from http://haiti.eavb.co.uk for 95p, and the video version for 1.95. All proceeds will be given to Worldvision who have been working in Haiti since 1978 and are heavily involved in long-term relief efforts in the wake of the earthquake.
