Police hunt Bradford bingo robbers

Detectives in Bradford are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at Gala Bingo on Tong Street in the city.

Three men wearing balaclavas carrying machetes and knives entered the bingo hall and threatened staff before taking an amount of cash and leaving.

A number of people were inside Gala Bingo at the time of the robbery on Tuesday night at 7.15pm but no-one was hurt.

A 30 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and is in custody.

Detective Insp Gerry O'Shea of Bradford South CID said: "There were a lot of people in the hall at the time and I would appeal to anyone who saw anything or has any information about the robbery to contact Bradford South CID on 0845 60 60 606.
