Police look to link Brighouse, Sowerby Bridge and Elland bank raids - two suspects might be in Spain
DETECTIVES investigating a bank robbery in Elland are looking at possible links with two other raids in Calderdale.
Masked robbers wielding crowbars burst into Lloyds TSB on Southgate in Elland, stealing a large haul of cash, on Thursday, June 16.
Calderdale CID are investigating whether it was the same gang - thought to be from Manchester - who targeted the Halifax bank, in Wharf Street, Sowerby Bridge, and the Halifax bank in Bethel Street, Brighouse, in January.
Detective Inspector Ashley Hewitt urged anyone with information to contact police.
He said two of the suspects may have fled to Spain.
He urged anyone who has information to call Calderdale CID on 01422 337085 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
Police are also investigating whether the raids are connected to a robbery at HSBC on Westbourne Road, Huddersfield.
Two men have appeared at Huddersfield Magistrates Court court charged with robbery in connection with the theft, which happened last Friday, and will appear before Bradford Crown Court on Monday.
