Rock school for young musicians reopens
Teenage rockers can now enrol at a newly-reopened music academy.
Hebden Bridge Rock School is seeking beginners and experienced musicians and vocalists, aged 13 to 19, either to learn from scratch or develop their skills and play with others.
Members will get the chance to play a range of instruments, with workshops led by music teachers and experienced musicians, guest speakers from the industry and visits to other projects.
The scheme is run by Calderdale Council's Music Service and Young People's Service, and is based at Salem Mill, Salem Street.
Sessions run from 6 to 9pm on Sunday and then on the following Saturdays: December 12, January 16 and 30, February 27 and March 13.
For details, or to enroll, contact Kevin Rivett at Calderdale Music School on 01422 394161 or Lorraine Daber at Calderdale Young People's Service on 01706 548186.
