Service all in Welsh
Gwasanaeth Hwyr – Welsh/English evening service Calderdale, along with other Welsh societies from Bradford, Huddersfield, Leeds and Harrogate will be taking part in a service in Welsh and English at St James's Parish Church, Silsden, on Sunday July 5. It begins at 5.45pm and will be followed by refreshments.
Brian Gregory, originally from Bridgend, but who has been in West Yorkshire for a number of years, will lead the service. The retired clergyman now divides his time between Yorkshire, Bridgend and Romania for the charity The Friendship Foundation helping young people in Romania and disadvantaged teenagers in Bridgend through cultural exchanges and co-operative ventures.
Jonathon Crossley will play the organ and hymns and prayers will be in Welsh and English.
All are welcome.
