Six flood warnings now in place for Calderdale - flooding pictures
CALDERDALE is on red alert as six flood warnings have now been issued for the area.
The Environment Agency has issued four more flood warnings for the district.
For the River Calder in Elland, from Elland Bridge to Lowfields Business Park, and Hebden Bridge, from Victoria Bridge to Stubbings Bridge, Hebden Water in Hebden Bridge at Old Gate, between St Georges Street bridge and Market Street, and also for the River Calder at Brookfoot, from Brookfoot Business Park to Elland Road.
Earlier today flood warnings were issued for the River Calder in Mytholmroyd from Caldene Bridge and along Burnley Road, and the River Calder in Hebden Bridge in the Calder Holmes area.
Emergency crews, council workers and the environment agency are all working to minimise problems.
