Sixth form band's chart dream

A SIXTH-form band is dreaming of being in the charts this time next week.

Ten Floors today released their download-only single The Apple Tree and 4,000 downloads over the next six days should secure a Top 40 placing.

The band consists of Rastrick High School pupils Josh Carruthers, brothers Ste Brown, Jake Brown and Adi Bell. They are all 17.

They have been busy over recent weeks on a promotional tour which included a gig on Saturday at the Ukrainian Club, Halifax, and tomorrow is launch party night at Trash, Leeds.

"We are really excited and hope we can make it into the Top 40 but that now all depends on others," said Josh, of Brighouse.

The Apple Tree will be available in digital stores and each download costs 79p.

Ten Floors are a piano-based indie/rock band.

"We are eager for success and we are urging everyone who has a spare 79p to give up five minutes of their time to secure the Top 40 spot," said Adi. "We can't do it without everyone's help."
