'Stay out of the water' warning
UNDERWATER search teams called in after a teenager drowned are warning people to stay out of the water.
The 17-year-old had been swimming with a group of friends in Widdop reservoir, near Hebden Bridge, when he died.
The teenager and his friends – all from London – were thought to be visiting friends after finishing their exams.
They are believed to have been staying at a camping barn.
An inquest into his death is expected to be opened and adjourned today.
The manager of West Yorkshire Police's Underwater Search Unit, David Wright, urged people to remember the dangers of swimming in lakes, rivers, quarries, reservoirs and canals.
