Stunning image of Ruby lands photgorapher a national prize

A TEAM of judges have zoomed in on a Halifax photographer's work.

Jennifer Robertson, of Kyte Photography Studio, Skircoat Green, has been recognised by the Master Photographers' Association (MPA) for her stunning image of eight-month-old Ruby Sutcliffe.

Mrs Robertson said: "Kyte is already well known in the region for the quality of our baby photography, but to be recognised at a national level is a great honour.

"I aim to capture the true personality of a family or child in a natural and spontaneous manner."

Mrs Robertson picked up a quarterly prize in the MPA's Cherub of the Year competition while Ruby's mum, Kelly, of Sowerby Bridge, received a Marks & Spencer shopping voucher.

A larger prize of 10,000 awaits Ruby's family should the photo win the overall Cherub of the Year competition.

The competition winners will be announced next March.
