Success thrills new crime-writing duo
A detective who switched from fighting crime to writing about it said he is thrilled with the success of his first book.
When he retired, former Det Supt Bob Bridgestock, head of Calderdale CID, be-came a writer alongside his wife Carol, a police support worker.
Their novel Deadly Focus has sold hundreds of copies in its first few weeks.
Overgate Hospice at Elland and hospices in Wakefield and the Isle of Wight, where the couple now live, will benefit from its success.
