Suspect plants seized
POLICE uncovered two suspected drugs farms in just three days.
Officers from Halifax Central neighbourhood policing team seized 21 plants believed to be cannabis when they swooped on an industrial property in Sowerby Bridge on Friday night.
Firefighters had to be called to help police get inside. Officers are investigating who owns the building.
Then on Sunday they raided a property in Backhold Lane in Siddal, Halifax, and found four suspected cannabis plants.
A man was arrested in connection with that raid and charged with possessing cannabis.
Sergeant Richard Armstead, from the team, appealed for members of the public to give the police information about drugs and drug dealing in their area.
He said they can ring their neighbourhood policing team on 0845 6060606 or CrimeStoppers, where information can be passed on anonymously, on 0800 555111.
