Taxi driver gets a beating
A TAXI driver was repeatedly punched during a violent robbery.
Two men escaped with more than 20 after attacking the driver, from Express Cars, Ward's End, Halifax.
They launched the vicious assault as the car stopped at Ramsden Street, Ovenden, Halifax, to drop them off.
Detective Inspector Ashley Hewitt said: "One man has put his arm round the driver's neck and punched him round the face while the second man has got out the car and stole the ignition keys and cash from his pocket."
The pair, who had been picked up in the town centre, both then fled down Ramsden Street.
The suspects were described as white, aged between 20 and 25, and skinny. One had a shaved head and the other had short dark hair.
