The garden gate and fence must go
THESE ornate metal gates and fencing round a house in Halifax severely harm the character of the property, according to a planning inspector.
Michael Moffoot said: "Due to their excessive scale, ornate design and impermeable appearance, they dominate the front of the property and are wholly out of keeping."
He dismissed an appeal by Mr K. Singh to keep the black and gold gates and fence at Savile Parade, Savile Park, Halifax, because they fail to preserve or enhance the character of the Savile Park conservation area.
