The Old Girls meet again to celebrate school's centenary
PUPILS from around the globe reunited to celebrate their school's 100-year anniversary.
Former students from Brighouse Girls' Grammar school met to raise a glass to their school days.
The "Old Girls" came from across the UK, and one pupil even travelled from America to join in the celebrations.
The school, now Brighouse High School Sixth Form College, was known as the Secondary School for Girls until 1944.
The 150 former pupils joined in a rendition of their school song at The Auctioneers Restaurant, Brighouse.
The event was tinged with sadness as the group held a minute's silence for organiser Rona Redfern who died recently.
Organiser Julia Wilby said: "It was lovely, there was such a great turnout and people came from far and wide.
"We're already looking forward to the next one," she said.
