Two arrested over murder of Bradford man missing for 10 years
DETECTIVES investigating the disappearance of a Bradford man nearly 10 years ago have arrested two people on suspicion of his murder.
Alan James Crabtree was reported missing from his home in Tong Street, Bradford, in September 2000.
The 41-year-old's disappearance has remained a mystery ever since.
Detective Superintendent Dave Pervin - who is now leading the investigation into the disappearance - said he believes Mr Crabtree travelled from his home in Bradford to Keighley on September 13, 2000, where he visited an address on Alice Street.
Since that date there have been no other confirmed sightings of him and his body has never been found.
Yesterday (Tuesday) officers from West Yorkshire Police's Homicide and Major Enquiry Team (HMET) travelled to Margate in Kent where they arrested a 38-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman on suspicion of his murder
It is believed that both were living in the Bradford area at the time of Mr Crabtree's disappearance.
