Woman dies after being hit by train
A WOMAN has died after being hit by a train.
She was struck 200 yards outside Todmorden railway station at 10.35am today.
The train involved was the 9.37am Leeds to Manchester Victoria service.
A British Transport Police spokeswoman said: "The incident was attended by British Transport Police, West Yorkshire Police and Yorkshire Ambulance service.
"The incident is being treated as non-suspicious."
Trains along the line were stopped while emergency services dealt with the incident but were running again by 12pm.
