Some 9,000 people spent an afternoon in the Piece Hall sunshine to celebrate love and respect in Calderdale.
The event included face painting, donkey rides, sand pits, paddling pools, and balloon making,
Over 30 churches and 24 charities from across Calderdale handed out picnics, drinks and buns to the public.
One hundred school children from Bolton Brow choir, who earlier this month designed their own loved theme t-shirts for Love Calderdale, performed for the crowd who basked in the baking heat.
Dave Fawcett, who was part of the three person committee who organised Love Calderdale, said: “It was amazing.
“It was all about spreading love and respect and I think it was a huge success.
“We managed to cater for all ages which we were really pleased about.
“We’ll start planning for next year soon and we’ll need more than the three of us on the organisation committee because we really want this event to grow,” he said.
