Love in the air at St Peter’s

LOVE is in the air this weekend at a special Valentine’s Day church service.

St Peter’s Church, Sowerby, will open its doors at 10am on Sunday for a family-friendly service dedicated to love. The Rev Martine Crabtree will lead the service called “Love Never Fails”.

It will see children rap along to the Black Eyed Peas’ song Where Is The Love? and hand out Love Hearts to parishioners.

Newly-married couples and those preparing to get married this year have been invited along to the service, which is open to all.

“St Valentine’s isn’t one of our major Saints days but we’re just celebrating the theme of love,” she said.

It is the latest of the monthly family services held at the church.

Those attending will swap the usual tea and coffee for bubbly after the service.
