A DAUGHTER has raised hundreds of pounds for Overgate Hospice in memory of her mum.

Lucy Gleeson, 22, held the coffee morning at her home in Joseph Avenue, Northowram, for her mum Christine. She died in 2008, before which she had been a patient at the Elland hospice.

A raffle, hosted by Elizabeth Booth, raised £160, thanks to donations from 22 The Square Restaurant, Northowram, and Shibden Mill Inn, Shibden. Another £35 was raised from Vikki Clegg who ran a tombola.

Lucy’s brother Sam also helped out.

The event raised £350.

Lucy said: “The coffee morning was a success and a massive thank you to everyone for the donations and helped make it such an achievement.”
