Man, 22, ‘critical’ after attack

AN Odsal man is in a critical condition after a serious assault in Wibsey.

Police were called to Holyroyd Hill just after midnight last night (Friday) to reports of a 22-year-old being attacked.

He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with a serious head injury and is currently in a critical condition.

A 24-year-old Odsal man and a 24-year-old Buttershaw man have been arrested on suspicion of wounding and are currently in custody.

Officers believe the assault may have stemmed from two earlier incidents.

The first was inside the Market Tavern pub, Wibsey, at about midnight.

The second was on Holyroyd Hill, about 150 yards away from the pub, towards Wibsey High Street.

Anyone who witnessed the assault on Holyroyd Hill, or the earlier incidents, should contact Bradford South CID via 101.
