A pensioner fell from his ladder and was left squashed between a ten foot wall and a house.
Fire crews from Halifax were called out today (Saturday) after the man’s ladder rung snapped.
It was an old wooden ladder, and its break resulted in the man - who had been building a wall - falling down the gap and suffering from back pain.
An ambulance was also in attendance along with two fire crews and two technical crews - they were called at 11.10am.
The incident happened on Staups Lane, Shibden, and crews were in attendance for about three quarters of an hour.
The man was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary
