Man accused of murdering Sowerby woman appears at crown court

A 44-year-old man accused of murdering a woman at her Sowerby home has appeared at Bradford Crown Court.

Malcolm Cromie was charged with the murder of 42-year-old Mahala Rhodes at her home in Rooley Heights, Sowerby, on May 6.

Today (Friday) he has appeared at court before the Recorder of Bradford Judge Roger Thomas QC and pleaded not guilty to the charge of murder,

Mr Cromie of Rooley Heights, Sowerby Bridge, was remanded in custody and will go on trial at Bradford Crown Court in December pending a pre-trial hearing on October 2.
