Man arrested on suspicion of attempted child abduction in Bradford

A 34-year-old man has been arrested following a suspicious incident involving a child in Bradford.

The man, who is from the Bradford area, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted abduction and is currently in custody.

The incident happened in the area of Ashton House, Park Road, at the bottom of Manchester Road when a woman was walking with her two-year-old daughter.

A man then took hold of the child’s hand before he was distracted and let go of the girl. He then made off on foot in the direction of the Lidl store on Manchester Road.

Police are also conducting house to house enquiries in Park Road, close to where the incident was reported yesterday, Wednesday, afternoon at 2.45pm.
