Man cut free from car in Halifax crash

A man had to be cut free from a car following a road traffic collision in Halifax this afternoon (Friday).

Firefighters from Illingworth and Elland attended the scene on the corner of Lister Lane and New Bond Street at 1.50pm and had to free the driver of a green Toyota Yaris.

Cutting equipment was used to take the driver’s side door off the car and the man was treated by paramedics at the scene but did not suffer from any serious injuries.

It is not known whether any other cars were involved and police are now said to be investigating the accident.
