Firefighters had to free a man from a car after it crashed into the central reservation of the M62 last night.
The man was in a BMW on the eastbound carriageway between junction 22 at Rishworth and junction 23 at Outlane when the accident happened.
The car is understood to have hit the nearside barrier on the hard shoulder before going across all three lanes to hit the central reservation.
Police, fire crews from Halifax, Elland and Greater Manchester, and paramedics were called at around 7.15pm to help the man.
He was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.
The outside lane of the motorway was closed for around two hours while they dealt with the accident.
