Man grabbed by the throat in Huddersfield robbery

A man was grabbed by his throat after refusing to hand over his phone during a robbery in Huddersfield.

The man was walking along Trinity Street towards the Junction pub when two men demanded his mobile phone.

When the man did not hand over the phone one of the pair grabbed him by his throat and the other took the phone before they both made off.

The incident happened on Sunday, May 12, at around 00.45am.

The first man officers want to speak to in connection with the incident is described as aged in his early 20s, 6ft tall, slim and Asian. He was wearing a white hooded top with the hood up and dark jeans.

The second man officers want to speak to in connection with the incident is also described as Asian, aged in his early 20s, 5ft”10 tall, of stocky build and wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up and dark jeans.
