Man in 90s hit by car in town centre

A PENSIONER in his 90s has been taken to hospital after he was knocked down outside Harvey’s in Halifax town centre this afternoon.

The man was hit by a grey Ford Fiesta at the junction of Commercial Street and Rawson Street shortly after 4pm.

Traffic was being blocked off on Waterhouse Street as emergency services dealt with the incident.

The elderly man is believed to have suffered a leg injury but his condition is not thought to be serious.
