A man was left with facial injuries and a car was damaged in an incident in Halifax on Saturday.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said officers were called at about 11.45pm a report of an affray incident involving a group of men in the Hopwood Lane area.

Enquiries are ongoing into the incident in which damage was reported to a car and man received some facial injuries as a result of an assault.

Officers have been conducting house to house enquiries in the area and anyone who has information about the disorder is asked to contact the Halifax Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101 referencing police log 2243 of June 6
