Man still seriously ill after crash in Bell Hall in Halifax

A man cut from an horrific car crash in Halifax is still seriously ill in hospital.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the accident involving a green Peugeot 406 and an Audi A3 on Savile Park Road at its junction with Elmfield Terrace in Bell Hall at 9.45pm on Wednesday.

The front seat passenger of the Peugeot - a man whose age is not yet known - was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

He is understood to still be seriously ill in hospital.

The driver of the Peugeot -a 24-year-old man - received minor injuries and has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

The driver and passenger of the Audi received minor injuries.

Any witnesses to the collision or anyone who saw the cars driving before the accident are asked to contact the Major Collision Enquiry Team via 101.
