Two members of the Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team will battle the Calderdale terrain as the pair take on an ultra marathon challenge for charity.
Tim Ingram and Howard Barton will set off on an epic 51.5 mile race on June 7 at 6am at the first Calderdale Way Ultra Marathon.
Tim said: “It is going to be challenge but we just have to put one foot in front of the other and raise interest for the charity.”
The pair are aiming to raise more than £500 for Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team to help fund the annual costs, of around £35,000 its incurs keeping the team operational.
The charity provides emergency and life saving services to people in the Calder Valley and other surrounding areas.
Over the marathon course, they will pass by the renowned landmarks Bride Stones, Great Rock, Stoodley Pike, Heptonstall, Old Town, Dobroyd Castle, Hardcastle Crags, Ripponden and more.
The pair have to finish the full route in 13 hours or less.
