Hundreds of Christmas shoppers attended the fourth Ripponden Community Market at Brig Lane Surgery.
The market was given a festive twist with a Santa’s Grotto and plenty of Christmas-related products on sale.
There were also stalls selling everything from fashion and gifts to local cheese.
Stallholders included Rippponden in Bloom, Ivy House Cheese and Trinkette.
Coun Jayne Smith, from Ripponden in Bloom, said: “It’s been very busy and very successful for us.
“We’ve been selling raffle tickets and hot soup - it’s a big part of our fundraising efforts.
“People have been very receptive and it’s been a really useful event.
“We’ll probably raise around £500 from the day.
“This is the best attended of the community markets we’ve had so far in Ripponden.”
Geoff Potts, chairman of the market committee said: “It’s been great to get the community down here for it.
“We have them every quarter and they’re usually a good boost to the local economy.
“The parish council started it in the first place to bring people into the town and it seems to have been successful.”
