CONCRETE product firm Marshalls is looking to shed staff in the new year.
It started accepting applications for voluntary redundancy in November and a spokeswoman confirmed further applications will continue to be accepted.
“No announcements have been made to staff regarding compulsory redundancies at this stage,” she said.
Marshalls employs hundreds in Calderdale at offices in Elland and local quarries, and across its UK operations the workforce totals around 2,400.
Its last trading update in November said sales had maintained a positive trend but market uncertainty remained and volumes were expected to be lower going forward.
The company hopes a weak UK domestic market would be offset by sales into overseas markets.
