Two giants of the folk scene are playing at Hebden Bridge Trades Club.
Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick will perform on Sunday, September 30 from 8pm. Martin has ben one of folk music’s greatest innovators and best loved musicians for more than 40 years. He was awarded the MBE for services to English Music and won Singer of the Year and Best Traditional Track at the BBC Radio 2 Awards 2005. Dave Swarbrick first came to prominence on the folk scene in the Ian Campbell Folk Group. Having worked alongside other leading musicians such as Ewan MacColl and Peggy Seeger,, he teamed up with Martin Carthy in 1966. Tickets are £15 or £12 for members.
