TWO men charged with running an illegal casino in Halifax have appeared in court.
Nicholas Bannister, 24, of Bank Road, Sowerby Bridge, and Paul Pyzer, 39, of Holmfield Gardens, Ovenden, are charged with possessing cannabis and two offences under the Gambling Act.
On September 8 they are said to have provided a poker room at the Last Chance Saloon, Cross Street, Halifax and allowed a casino to be operated from there.
The case was adjourned until February 8 at 10am at Calderdale Magistrates’ Court. They were both given unconditional bail.
