The Met Office has issued a “severe” wind weather warning across parts of Yorkshire.
Strong winds are forecast, with gale force winds predicted on the East coast by Thursday.
Gusts could reach up to 60mph in some places.
It has been caused by an area of low pressure passing from Northern Scotland, today, heading southwards into the North Sea by tomorrow.
The outlook for the weekend in the region is windy, with sunny spells and showers on Friday.
Further showers with more persistent rain is possible by Sunday.
