Mexican restaurant chain Chimichanga has confirmed it will move into the new Broad Street Plaza.

Chimichanga, which is part of Prezzo Group, has committed to take unit 13, between Harvester and Pure Gym, on a 25-year lease.

It will be the ninth eatery in the Plaza after Nando’s, TGI Friday, Frankie and Benny’s, Pizza Express, The Chinese Buffet, Wetherspoons, Harvester and Beefeater.

Although it is not yet known when the restaurant will open or how many staff it will employ, Chimichanga confirmed that they hope to begin fitting work as soon as possible.

Chimichanga, which means “thingymagig” in Spanish, has 22 restaurants already operational throughout the country.
