Grandparents Pat and David Blay battled the heat as they embarked on a mountainous mission – and raised just less than £2,000 in the process.
The pair were joined by friends Susan and Stuart Halliday when they completed the Catbells walk in the Lake District in aid of Myeloma UK.
In total the group raised £1,900,67 for charity.
Sixty-six year old Pat, of Pellon, said: “It were fun but it was just so hot – it was absolutely boiling.”
The walk was particularly poignant due to 65-year-old David battling bone marrow cancer himself and undergoing went a transplant.
