Mugging victim knocked out

A MAN was knocked out by muggers outside a house in Halifax.

The 31-year-old victim was sitting on a garden wall in Bath Place in Boothtown when he was threatened by a group of men who demanded he hand over his mobile phone.

When the victim refused, he was punched and kicked to the floor.

He lost consciousness and suffered face injuries.

The culprits fled with his black Nokia phone.

Police say they are looking for four or five men described as white and in their 20s.

Two of them were about 6ft tall and wearing dark hooded tops with the hoods pulled up.

Another two were about 5ft 8ins tall

Officers want to hear from anyone with information about the mugging, which happened shortly after midnight on Saturday.
