Elland’s Whitwell Neighbourhood Watch has provided a safe place for youngsters to ride motorbikes off-road, following a fatal accident in Keighley.

Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinator Mr Lyndon Shearman and members secured funding from West Yorkshire Police Community Trust to transport youngsters to a motorcycle centre in Leeds for five Saturday training sessions. Mr Shearman said: “It’ll be good to see the enthusiasm of these young people being properly developed so they become responsible bikers. We are grateful to the local police and the police community trust for their support.”
