A campaigning champion who has supported many good causes has been presented with a Business in the Community Award.
Neil Davidson, corporate social responsibility manager with local concrete firm Marshalls, was recognised for developing and embedding community investment strategy and programmes into the company.
That has included setting up a business class programme with Park Lane Learning Trust, Halifax, where 12 employees mentored boys’ from the school.
Marshalls also has business interests in India where it supports gifted children in schools.
Many Calderdale organisations have also benefited from Marshalls support for good causes.
Mr Davidson has also been active in his free time organising many charitable fundraising events.
He sits on the Overgate Hospice fundraising team and was recently appointed a Deputy Lieutenant of West Yorkshire.
