The transformation of a former pub into a funeral parlour has continued with the opening of new function room.

The old Falcon Inn at Salterhebble became The Funerral Parlour last year. Now it has the addition of the Greenwood Room - built to cater for funeral teas. The Mayor of Calderdale, John Hardy, officially opened the room, which features a painting by local artists Lizzie and Hannah Leadbeater called The Tree of Life.

Owner Amanda Dalby said: “This has put the icing on the cake on what has been a long journey in transforming this building from an old public house, to the beautiful funeral parlour that it is today.”
